Lavender (Lavendula Officinalis) has been used since ancient times. The
name comes from the Latin lavare-to wash- and the Romans added it to
bath water. It was cultivated in European Monastic Medicinal Gardens for
its stimulant and cleansing properties, as well as its pleasant aroma.
Aromatic and cleansing. Caution: Do not allow to boil. Simmer over low heat. Directions: Pour full strength into a simmer pot or oil burner and simmer. Continue to add additional Potpourri oil as the liquid evaporates. Rinse container after use. Do not leave oil burner unattended.
